What it is

One system,
not ten tabs.

Custom software development means building an application for your business instead of bending your work around a generic product. Altamar designs, builds and supports custom software for small and mid-sized B2B companies: the CRM your sales team actually uses, the internal tool that replaces a shared spreadsheet, the portal your clients log into.

We connect it to the tools you already run, move your existing data in without losing a day of work, and stay on after launch to keep it running and improve it month by month.

  • CRMs and sales tools

Pipelines, quotes and follow-ups shaped around how you sell, not how a template thinks you sell.

  • Internal tools

Operations dashboards, approval flows and back-office apps that replace spreadsheets and email threads.

  • Client and member portals

Secure portals where your clients or members log in, see their information and get things done.

  • Web and mobile apps

Apps for your team in the field or for your customers, on the web, iOS and Android.

When it fits

Custom software is worth it when:

  • Your team copies the same data between tools every day.
  • You pay for several subscriptions and still run the business on a spreadsheet.
  • The way you work is part of what makes you different, and no product fits it.
  • You need one place for your data instead of five half-connected tools.

How we work

A clear plan for
the work ahead.

Every project gets a plan like this before any code is written. You always know what is being built, what is next and when it ships.

Project planTypical 12-week build Week 6 of 12
  1. Weeks 1–2 Discovery

Workshops with your team and a written scope with a fixed price and dates.

  2. Weeks 2–4 Design

Flows and screens, reviewed with the people who will use them.

  3. Weeks 4–10 · In progress Build

We build in steps and show you working software along the way.

FAQ

Common questions

All questions
How much does it cost?

Every project has a fixed price, set in a written scope after discovery, with the deliverables, payment schedule and dates. We do not publish a price list because the cost depends on what you need; a 30-minute call is the quickest way to get a number.

Related How pricing works

Should we build custom software or buy a SaaS product?

Buy when a product already fits how you work and the subscription is cheaper than the time it saves. Build when your process is specific, when you are stitching several tools together by hand, or when the subscriptions add up to more than a system you would own. We tell you plainly when an existing product is the better answer.

Related Custom software vs. another SaaS subscription

How long does a custom software project take?

It depends on scope. A single internal tool is quicker than a system that touches several teams; a typical build is about 12 weeks from discovery to launch. You get the real dates in the written scope before any work starts.

What happens to our existing data and tools?

We connect the new system to the tools you keep and move your existing data in, usually from spreadsheets or an older system, so your team does not start from zero.
